Energy Consumption - USA
Energy consumption is an enormous business. There are very few areas of the United States that function without some form of energy. As the population grows, so does the overall consumption (in total volume measured in Btu).
The Department of Energy releases an annual energy report that is extensive and informative - if you are undertaking any energy research projects, it is a great place to start.
The 2007 report was released recently and here are a few of the key graphs that depict energy usage. Given these numbers are likely to change slightly, please refer to the original source files that can be found at the DOE website.
